for the 1st 3-5K miles i ran 55psi all around

Then i switched to 52 fronts and 50 rears.

Seems to ride and wear fine

Geez, I run my tires at 35psi all the time... do you think I could gain some gas mileage with increase psi?  It would take some of the tire off the road.   :but:

And, I average 14mpg with 50-50 highway/city driving, and 17 pure highway.  :)

If you are running the stock "P" rated Firestone Wilderness tires, I wouldn't air them up very much.  Those tires aren't rated for higher pressures.

No, I have the 33" BFG Mud Terrains!  What should they be aired up to?

Sorry Frank, I should have looked at your signature...

I would run them at 45-50 psi for starters.  I would run a few more psi in the fronts than the rears.  Your probably going to notice a harsher ride over bumps and expansion joints, but it should really help the tires wear better and you could see some better fuel economy too...

I average about 11; 12 if I am lucky and actually get to drive at a nice constant pace for more then 3 seconds.  That is pure city driving with an average trip distance of about 4 - 5 miles and about 8 stoplights.  Don't know what my best highway milage would be because the farthest drive I have done at one time/oneway was only 35 miles, I need to take a nice trip sometime.
