Bugs are Back

Recommended Posts

I know the feeling, I had to drop off a computer at my buddy's work and on the way out I saw a bee on my leg so I went to flick it out the open window, only it hit the door and fell in the truck.  I figured I better take the street back instead of the freeway since I had an angry bee inside the cab now.

Also, red seems to really attract these asian lady beetles (like lady bugs, but they'll bite you and are more orange than red).  I always find them crawling all over my truck, it's annoying.

But, I would think the window vents would keep bugs from flying in and actually one of those bug shields on your hood does wonders for diverting the bugs upwards and away from your windshield.

With the 80 degree temps, we now have bugs.  I can live with the windshield splats, but what really works to keep the little buggers from coming in the open windows?  Do the smoked side window shields work?  My Av (and the Sierra before it) seem to draw bugs in instead of letting them pass by.  I had a bee sting last summer and have been hit by a number of bugs already this spring.  I also wonder if taking out the rear glass will make the problem worse.
