Nerf bars - which ones, where to buy?

Recommended Posts

I have the Westin Chrome CPS bars that Shane's talking about.  They are very nice.  Now if my POS Micron computer would work, I'd post some pictures, but nooooooooooo, the puter is a hunk of junk!

Maybe I'll load the digcam software on my dad's pc and post the pics from there.

They are kind of pricey, but I think with these, you get what you pay for.  The stainless bars are also available in black powdercoat for less than the chrome ones.

Thanks for the input!  Guess I wil have to wait a while as they don't have them available for my truck yet (HD Crew cab).

If I had to venture a guess, the bars would be the same as the 2500HD crewcab, and the mounting brackets would be the same as the 1500/2500LD trucks.  Better yet, I bet the ones from a new body style Suburban 1500 would bolt right on.  Their website is not up-to-date.

You might want to send them an email or give them a call.

Check here too, as I ordered some for my 4 door Tahoe for about $100 less than anywhere else I've checked.  They are Chrome Plated Stainless Steel.

I should get mine this week, I'll let you know what they're like.

These are what I want...  The Westin Oval Tube step...  They are chrome plated Aluminum, and are a 6" flat oval step.  That would give me the best of both worlds.  A large step for the kids and wife, with no running boards to catch and hold all the road "slop".

I'd like to see someone with Manik's.  I think they fit better than any other out there right now.  I also like the straight look better than the wrap in style.  This year's tax return might go towards a pair for my HD.

Here you go. I'll get out today and get some better pics for you.

Looks good.  I think that's the first time I've seen someone have them on any of these forums.  I'd like to get a set of stainless bars for my truck, but they are a little spendy.  I think they'd be worth it though.  I like the way the Maniks hug the rocker panel.  I really don't want it much for a step, but more for a rock deflector.  I know it won't completely do the job, but it will sure help.

So where did you all buy your nerf bars.  Did you do it online or at a local shop.  If you bought them online, where from?  I tried the Westin website, but it seems their links to the retailers is not working.  Thanks
