Any comments on a Jacobs Ignition ?

I price checked the Pro Street Ultra system in May, but I balked when they gave me a price. The money back guarantee and gain claims sounded good and they offered to split the payments in 3 on my credit card, but I couldn't do it.

I got my ProStreet Ultra thru JCWhitney on sale. saved nearly half. I've adjusted plug gaps a few times, but I haven't seen the mpg's they claim. The truck runs a little bit stronger, but not ?.00 worth. I'm hoping a few more mod's will bring it around, but the old piggy-bank looks anorexic right now....

Also, it seems this system is more for hi RPM's, not the 2000 RPM's I consistently run....lots of hiway miles....

Figured some of their claims would be a little exagerated and it's interesting that you see maybe more at high RPM's, because they told me it would be the entire band. I'm sorry you aren't seeing ? worth of results, that's a lot of money, even at half price......

I think I've decided to go with a K&N drop in and Mobil 1, and maybe some new plugs, but that's it for mods under the hood. Most seem to cost more than you get in return.

I've had good luck with the Mobil-1. I have a K&N drop in. It's ok, but gains are questionable. You might want to look at the entire breather assembly that they sell now. Good Luck, and keep us posted......

Yes I bought the Jacobs system and was the worst thing I have ever done. They exagerate on everything. I lost mileage by about 2 to 3 mpg. Tried to send it back and they would not even reply to my e-mail. Now I'm stuck with it.
