Nice Photos!!! Have you killed/seen any nice bucks this year?

Here is a link to the one that I got last year: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...c=70548&hl=

I have only killed one deer this year so far. It was a 8 pointer that had a bad leg and he was never going to have an impressive rack..

Thats still a damn nice buck Brian! Plus a hell of a story :lol

Here are the two bucks I got this year opening morning:

000_0437.jpg

The one on the left is an 8 pointer, 15" inside spread and the one on the right is a 10 pointer, 17.5" inside spread. I am getting the 10 pointer mounted. He scored 157 3/8".

Now for the story

I was sitting in my stand about 8:30 on opening morning and I heard some deer coming crashing through the woods so I got my gun up. I saw the first deer was a buck before he got the opening so I got ready and when he came out I saw he was pretty tall so I shot him and he went down. Then, probably 15 seconds later, a second buck came out from the same spot and just casually walked about 40 yards behind where the first one was shot. I could tell he was nice so I put the cross hairs on him and he was history as well

Dang dude... You tore them suckers up! That 10 pointer looks like he was either rutted out or he got the better side of the genes and is a younger deer..

Are those your first trophy deer? Me personally I would have caped the 8 pointer out myself and saved the head in the freezer to get him mounted later..

You dont see like that very often in the south! Have you ever gone bow hunting?

Congratulations!!!

I got one 3 years ago that was an 11 pointer with a 20.5" inside spread. It was my first buck and that one is hanging in my basement. I'll see if I have any pics on the computer of that one.

I thought about head mounting the 8 too, but that would be $800. So, I figured I'd just put those on a plaque.

Yeah I bowhunt quite a bit but never took a buck with a bow yet
