Bleach White on wheels

Recommended Posts

I used Westleys yesterday to clean my tires and it oversprayed on my wheels. Now it won't come off!!! Man, am I getting tired of these wheels! Just wish I could get new AR's or something. They look real shiny and nice from a ways away, but up close they are horrible. Anyone have any ideas? I'm willing to try anything to get them somewhat clean again.

Thanks,

Are your rims polished or clear coated. If they are clear coated then try simple green. I don't recommend neverdull on clear coated rims because it will eat the coating off. It will eat the the green stuff off brass like it is nothing after being out to sea.

Well, I tried the Never-dull with no results. This is really bugging me. It seemed to shine them about the same as other stuff I've tried, but nothing will get them clean. Maybe I just need new wheels AGAIN. Thanks for the help anyhow guys. Anything is worth a try.

I got a question on this subject. I notice that sometimes when I wash my truck and wheel's (stock clearcoat Silverado wheel's)  I notice a haze appearance develops on the wheels. Even when I use only water to clean them I sometimes still notice this haze appearance. any idea's?

My guess is maybe that the wheels are hot. Those Silverado wheels shine up nice and easy though.

For polished non clear coated wheels try Autosol. Nothing works better. I had a set of Centerline billets that had been regularly winter driven in the salt, and Autosol shined them with hardly any work.

Where do you get this Autosol?

I buy it at all our local parts stores. Comes in a tube for about 12 bucks Canadian. If you can't find it, I'll try to get some more info as to who makes it. Let me know.

Hey roofer,

Sounds lik you want some new weels. Its ok, you have our permission!!!!

LOL! I like your attitude. I would get some new wheels, but I first have to get my ATV fixed. Then I'm sure I'll need some new household things, being I just moved to a house last Friday. Thanks for the blessing though, hehe.  :)
