4" or 6" Lift kit question...

Recommended Posts

There is that 2.5" leveling kit available (which is basically a torsion bar lift).  BUT, when you buy & install one of these  4" or 6" suspension lifts, is your truck level after the lift???

Thanks.

i dont have a lifted truck but from what  i have seen the truck should be level with  a 4 or 6 inch lift installed. are you thinking about lifting your truck if you are what lift are you getting. i like the rancho lift myself but the pro-comp is good also.

Where is that 4wheel parts located? I would love to get a lift kit fro my truck, and for free, you cant beat that.

Go to http://www.4wheelparts.com and they will have a locations link on there.  But, I live in Houston on the north side of town, and there is also one on the south side of town.  If you live in Houston, i can be more specific!

I installed the 4" Rancho lift kit on my 94 Z71 Ext. cab last year myself. Doing it myself saved me ?,200 , so If you can get it done free, go for it! As far as the leveling, The Rancho kit came with 4" lift blocks for the rear. This did not leave the truck level. I had to purchase new Superlift 5 1/2" lift blocks to level it out. This was without cranking the torsions. Which I had to do to fit my 35's. Then it was not level again. So I purchased a 2" Add-A-Leaf, this worked out grreat, and now my truck sits about 1" taller in the rear than the front. Hope this helps...
