2002 Sierra Aftermarket

Recommended Posts

They won't void the warranty, but (don't you hate that word   ) if you had some type of problem that the dealer can prove the aftermarket stuff caused, then they may not cover it.  You may want to ask your dealer.  Some seem to be picky about things like that.

Welcome to the site.  Hope you like it.

One more thing, a K&N FIPK would have nothing to do with, say a suspension problem.  So if a dealer tries to tell you something like it would void the entire warranty, they are BS'ing you.

i spoke to a friend of mine who is the service manager at my local GM shop. he said fipk and aftermarket exhaust wont void warrantys, but suspension lifts and remote starts may. evidently if the part that needs fixed has damage that may of been caused my an aftermarket add on, the shop has to send some form to GM explaining the trouble and asking for reimbursement to pay for the warranty work.
