gandolphxx
Do you mean one to get all four lights on?
Mike B
I want to be able to control when the day time running lights are on,not like the factory has it that they are on all the time unless you use your parking brake.
MountaineerTom
Mike, I don't know of any off the top of my head for the '98 body style trucks. R&D Truck and Auto Acessories makes a kit for the new body style trucks that switch between the Auto Headlights and having manual control over them. When you have it switched to manual control, the DRL's don't come on. I can't remember, but do the '98's use the headlights for the DRL's or do they use the park lights? You could look for a fuse labeled DRL and try pulling it to see what happens. If it uses the headlights, and you pull a fuse, make sure your headlight work at night after pulling the fuse before you get out on the road. I have no idea if any of that will work, just throwing out an idea. Good luck.
sincityZ71
If you pull your DRL fuse in the little fuse box on the drivers side of the dash your DRLs will be disabled but your headlights will still work fine. I did that on my old '96 and a few friends have done it on their '97s and '98s, so it works well and give you control without having to rig up something with the parking brake.
