John3
This is my first post. I have a new Chevy 2500HD 4WD with the Duramax. I started drilling holes in the headliner for my ceiling gun rack, and immediately drilled through the ceiling wiring harness. It turns out that this harness is glued to the inside of the headliner about 5 inches from the door frame. Center stop light, tail stop light, dome light and a few unknowns all depend on this harness. I spliced all these back together, then discovered that there was no inside metal to drill/screw into (just the roof metal). I had to add two 3"x5" metal plates. Just a heads up for anyone thinking about drilling into the ceiling. The gun rack, btw, is from Big Sky and works great (I have installed them in 3 other trucks over the last 10 years). Take care.
