Oct '08 - North Fort Worth Rock Quarry

I've been "meaning" to go down in the rock quarry and take some pictures of the truck. But, I picked a bad day to do it. I forgot about our recent rains and the quarry was flooded-out in the bottom. People were canoeing and fishing?! How the heck they think fish are going to get in there, when there isn't a water source FOR their "mini-lake," I don't know...

 

But, here's a few pictures of what I did..

 

Heading in... Still up top, at this point. I decided to get a couple of shots of the truck and grain elevators, in the background :

This is about as far down into it as I got.. I was most of the way down, but I didn't want to risk getting stuck in the flooded part. Maybe some of you 4WD guys can go "play" in it when you're here for the Blackbear Tune event in December! :lol:

 

Basically, just a side shot, with the rock background.. more or less documenting "hey, it ain't stickin' up quite so far in the back now!" :D

Man if I was at the drag in anything except a diesel or a lightning and if I was racing that thing I would pee myself from just looking at it!!!

 

Are you going to tint the front windows darker?

 

I would get that 3M Color Stable tint... Matches to the stock tint 100% and never have to worry about what you wash it with and/or tint turning purple.. Just got mine done for $40...

I plan to tint the windows... I just never think about it when I have the time and I never have the time when I think about it. Y'know what I mean? "One of these days!"

 

Forty bucks to tint the front windows!? Wow! I need to look into that then.. take a long lunch, one of these days, and just do it. For some reason, I expected it to be more than that... Although, the last time I had any tint done was to the TSX... lots more windows in it! :D

Yeah, well thats what I figured that it cost me the roll was like $300 and its hard to find that tint but its worth it... I am thinking about doing the wifes car again...

I'll check around here and see how much places are charging. I've had a little bit of a list in my head of different things I'd like to get done. But, it seems like other stuff gets taken care of before the list in my head. :D

She doesn't mind... you... uhhh... "doing" her car.. again!? :lol:

You see I had it all tinted up with 20% since 2002 and our first year of Marriage "2006" she was driving through town and she got pulled over and had to have it all taken off... So I made her do it... I was pissed... I still rant and rave about it! SEE!!! :lol:

 

Dude I was looking at those vent shades that stick up into the top of the window so you dont have to put the adhesive crap on your paint...

 

Its only $90 for all four doors!

That's not too bad for those vent things... Every now and then, I'll see some that I think look ok. But, usually, they look kinda out of place. Everyone likes different stuff, though. :lol:

 

That sucks about the tint. That's one reason I usually stick to the letter of the law on that. I don't want some local yocal givin' me grief because he thinks my windows are "too dang dark ta see thru!"

Thanks! That one turned out more grainy than I had planned or hoped... I'll have to experiment with night shots of downtown a little more. I sent you a PM about a larger version, by the way. :lol:
