I took my truck in the other day to see if they would reprogram the tranny so it wouldn't downsift from overdrive so easily when hitting the slightest incline, mostly when traveling on the interstate.  Well, they called and said they found a problem with it.  They had to remove the tranny.  When I went to pick it up today, the invoice said:  Removed Transmission and T-case, found 3-4 clutch piston seals inop around housing.  Replaced 3-4 seals to correct problem.

The bad news was one of the tranny pan bolts snapped off while reinstalling the pan.  So I have the threaded part still in the housing, with no bolt head on it.   :D

They hooked me up with a rental until they can get it fixed.  (Their service department doesn't come in over the weekend)  I hope it isn't cross threaded in the housing.  ???

I was glad I asked about getting it reprogrammed, because I'm only a few thousand miles from being out of warranty.  I was getting ready to change the tranny fluid and filter anyway, so that saved me from having to do it.

Anyone want to race??  I have a hot rod 1.7L honda civic until the beginning of next week.   :(   I'm just glad I got a ride for the weekend, but I miss my truck.  ???
