700r4 shifting problums

I have 87 k10 with a 700r4 tranny. the tranny was rebuild 5 months ago. The probulm is when put the truck in gear it jumps ahead violently. When I am driving it it shifts really hard It revs to 3500 to 4000 rpm before it shifts. it does it all the gears need help any thoughts or idea's thanxs

I'm not a tranny guy, but isn't there a vaccuum control module on the 700R4?  If so, maybe your problem is with that...  ???

Hi there

There isn't a vacumm modulator in the 700R4. The problem

is probably an improperly adjusted throttle valve cable. Get yourself a good manual for this vehicle, it should explaine the proper way to make the adjustment.
