hey, how is the the 3" rc lift doing???

hey sorry about not getting back to you sooner. i am actually now starting to have problems with the lift. the ball joints went once and rough country sent me a new pair and they are alright so far. the upper control arm bushings are deteriorating and squeeky and my alignment keeps jumping out of whack. I am going to call them on monday and see what they have to say about the situation and if the turn out is not good i will be in search of a new lift. something about about 4 inches that will last and keep my truck from falling apart. any reccomendations for something affordable?

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, but not at all surprised. I can't believe that people read all of the negative feedback about this kit but still buy it. For the money you will spend on a quality 4", you may as well get the 6". Rancho, BDS, and CST are your best bets on a good 4" kit though.

ok cool. with those kits to you need to get new rims or will the stock 17s do? i am curious because i want to keep my spare tire and rim. also, do you have to put an add a leaf? because i have air bag suspension in the rear.

Hate to say I told you so but well, I told you so!!!

I went through it like I said before, RC customer service was terrible and only gave me two options which were to remove the kit for a refund or exchange for a new RC kit. I told them if I am taking the time to remove the kit I'm sure as hell not going to install another junk RC kit on my truck so I went with the BDS 6" high clearance lift. You could also go with a BDS 2" strut mount leveling kit and a BDS 3" body lift for a total of 5" for about $590 shipped and feel confident in the product on your truck and know that BDS customer service is backing you incase of a problem. BDS warranty and customer service FTW.

four a 4 inch kit that will run those wheels your gonna have to go with CST. Rancho will clear the wheels but its bigger than 4"s its more like 5.5 from what I read. CST is a great kit/company.. as far as affordability goes... well.. by now I would think u realize you get what you pay for. Like I said to another guy, you just bought a 30k+ truck and ur trying to put a 400 dollar lift kit on it. Why ruin a nice vehicle with generic bullshit. Everytime i think about about taking the cheap route on a vehicle, or really anything, it always comes back to haunt me whether its from being cheap and breaking... or me cheaping out,and settling for something else, I always regret it..

New philosophy: Think about exactly what you want, do it right the first time, and dont settle for anything but exactly what you want. If you need to wait 6 months to save up for a better lift, then wait 6 months. If you decide theres no way your gonna get the money for a good lift. (2k+) then look at alternatives. You could go with a body lift (same price range as your RC kit) and just buy one of those with ur RC refund... ORRRRRR you could just not lift the truck at all and save your money because trucks and cars are a horrible investment!! (thats a do as a say not as I do'er there).

I recommend 6" lift and 20" wheels/33-35" tires... good luck.

I have this kit on my truck and am ready for my 3rd set of balljoint in only 5000 miles, and thats all highway miles. Did you get them to do anything for you about your kit? I am going to call them this week

Thats a shame. What you do is take it off and trash it, or throw it in a box in the garage like I did. I wouldn't even sell it to my worst enemy. Rough Country... :D

That is what I did with my ProComp....I literally took it off, boxed it up, and put it in the dumpster.

Always decide what you want and don't settle for second best. In the world of lifts, suspension or body, you get what you pay for.
