Need advice quick--transfer case stuck in 4L

Guys,

 

I'm rather new here and could use some help.  I have the chance to buy a 77 Blazer 1/2 ton 4x4 w/plow for $500.  It only has 105K miles on it, body is fairly rough, but it runs decent and the plow works.  Only problem is that the case is currently stuck in 4L.  I don't have much experience with transfer cases, is this a typical sign of death?  It may just be a lubrication problem (truck has been in storage for awhile), but I never seem to have any problems that come with an easy fix.  Is this POS worth $500.

 

I'm need to make a decision by tomorrow night, so quick help is appreciated.

Can't help you with the T-case problem, but if the plow is in good shape and is a power angle, then it and the brackets are probably worth the $500.
