I bought an 06 duramax used, auto 4x4. I believe it has an aftermarket programmer installed which is causing an intermitent mis fire on cyl seven at idle only. Is it possible to reinstall the factory settings.

I tried to program the truck with a hypertech and it did not recognize factory settings and would not download. I have ran into problems like this before with programmers except I always had the controller to remove the reinstall the factory software.
