My New 2008 Silverado

YAY! Got it a couple weeks ago after trading in my other Silverado. I'll miss the other one, but you have to hear the exhaust and feel the power on this one. Almost got a Trailblazer SS, but liked this more after the demo.

With rear wheel dyno'd 409lb/ft torque. :(

Not a true SS, but power-to-weight it'll beat one good.

5.3L, locking rear diff, polished CAI, dual aftermarket exhaust, 22" Akuzas, Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires, color keyed fascia and grill shell, 4/6 drop, and other custom touches and stuff. Performance upgraded have added ~38HP and ~35lb/ft of torque.

ALL under warantee.

And GINORMOUS pics for drooling (they get huge). . .

Also my previous 2000 Silverado:

That is one nice looking truck.

And if you don't me asking what camera did you use to get those ginormous pictures?

I used a 5.2MP HP Photosmart M415 that I've had for a few years. It's not the newest thing, but works good.

EDIT: I have it set on the 3MP setting.

I'd bring back the chrome grill to go with the shiny wheels (the paint seems to be a different shade as well), perhaps paint the mirrors, and ditch the fake SS badges... but otherwise, good lookin' truck man. :cold:

I like the painted to match better it looks more classy on a truck to me (paint shade difference is just an angle lighting thing).

Mirrors I have thought about getting the chrome full mirror covers and having them painted if i go the easy way or just pulling them and haning them done for the "hard" way. I may leave them black though as I have thought this truck would look good with blacked out items. Like black Rockstars. . .mmmmm, Rockstars.

SS badges stay, they are real, the truck being an SS isn't, but it is the closes thing to one available right now. It will eventually be built the way GM should have done in the first place like the old 454SS.

As an aside:

We all have our different likes and dislikes, but I have noticed on this forum that everyone is cool with that. I am a member of many others and there is way more pure-play-flaming on those.

:)
