Nice Yukon man. You missed a spot under the wheel wells.

Have you ever waxed it?

Thanks for the comps!...I just got it about a month ago, and after washing it today by hand and looking close. Your right on the money...it needs a serious wax job!...along with a few touch-up paint chips I found.

All n all the 1st owner kept her in pretty good shape!

Looks good. A buddy of mine had an old Mav with a bored out 302. It would get it on.

Thanks!....for either, but I think u mean the Yuk  ...I was going to do the 302 and this that and the other thing, time and space weren't on my side.

But she sure was fun! Bought it for $1000 and sold it 5yrs later for a $1000.....aawww good times...

Ahh, well that makes sense. Nothing a good claybar, polish, and wax can't fix for ya! Should make some nice before/after pics as well.

This claybar is new to me??? I've read up on it, and seems to be alot of work!...not that I don't think the out come will be great, or that I'm lazy.....just alot of truck to do!

I need to get the inside shampooed and detailed...thinking I may have them do the claybar and outside aswell? that'll be my b-day present :D

Yeah, without knowing the exact history, I'd assumed it's never been waxed. You can also just feel the surface of the paint with your hands or use a zip lock bag to see how smooth the paint really is. If it's not "smooth as glass," then it's claybar time!

But I've personally used it for years and I've found it way better to use than some of those abrassive paint cleaners I've seen out there. Good luck!

Gonna do the claybar....will post pic's after....you guys sure are a tough crowd!

Yeah...I'm feeling the paint needs to be brought back to life. Most of the truck is glass...thinking how bad could it be...hours wise...

Thanks for the comps guys, hope to keep her going for at least another 4-5 yrs, with already 170,000km!
