Flowmaster Cost More Than Magnaflow?

So browsing ebay last night looking at Performance Curve & Performance Peddler auctions for mufflers cause i'm planning ahead for the next truck, the cost of Flowmaster has gone up. The Super 44 went from $79 to $87, Super 40 went from $84 to $94, and the choking 40 series went up to like $97, I wonder whats up with that...

And shockingly, Magnaflow 14", 18", and 22" mufflers rounds & ovals, are like $46 - $77 bucks!! Now thats a pretty big price drop. Evidently Flowmaster must be selling better than Magnaflow

I prefer the Flowmaster sound myself, but Magnaflow straight through design with steel construction, how could they sell those cheaper? I think I know what my next true dual will be.

scroll down on the links to view universal mufflers.

& on that note, who here has true dualed Magnaflows? If anyone, does that popping sound go away after awhile? And would you say it would be just as loud as my truck is? ( exhaust links in sig ) cause I dont really wanna put out $174 for two Super 44s.

Cost of steel is going through the roof, but you'd think both brands would rise then. Maybe FlowMaster is using new inventory of raw materials and MagnaFlow is still using up existing inventory.

Could be labor costs. Don't know how each company pays its employees.

In general, the cost of keeping a business open has increased quite a bit recently, so the cost of products is bound to follow.
