In my ongoing quest to find the best quality brake pad for my '02 Yukon Denali, I'm curious to hear what others have tried and liked. Please share the specific pad with your brand.

My 99 Silverado currently has 73K on the original pads and rotors. There is still 50% pad left. IMHO, that says a lot about OEM AC Delco pads.

I work for a Delco distriburor, from whtat I have read AcDelco 17d series pads and 18a/b rotors are made by raybestos. its a tough call between the ac and bendix for me, both work great

I have heard that too. The Raybestos QuietStop would be a good choice for an OEM equal and the BruteStop would be great for heavy-duty braking like you would see with carrying a lot of weight or trailer towing.

Interesting to know that Raybestos supplies the Delco pads. I always thought they were Akebono.

Raybestos is our (CARQUEST) Supplier on all of our pads with the exception of a new line we are in the process of adding. We have a premium ceramic pad by Raybestos but are moving this line to Akebono. I would never say anything negative about Raybestos because they provide us with wonderful pads from our least expensive Red series, mid grade Blue series and the Gold, premium line. However, from the information I have been able to read on the new line of Gold Ceramics by Akebono, it would seem they have really done their homework. My Yuk XL has the Orig pads on it but when I replace them, I will be trying this new offering.

BTW These new pad will not be in our stores for another 3 or 4 weeks.

I get virtually no dust with the OEM pads. I am always shocked to hear about those of you who are getting 70k+ miles on a set. My factory set wore down to the backing plate by 55k. I replaced with OEM pads and just turned 100k miles with probably about 10k left. My wife must be driving the truck like a NASCAR racer when I'm not around:)

I'm definitely interested in trying the new Akebono pads that Trey mentioned. Are they pricey?
