Got Another Vehicle

PELICAN

Recommended Posts

I have now added a second member to the family and I actually went with something that was not made by GM. I got a 2005 Mercury Gran Marquis gs model. It is a nice car to drive and has a lot of room. Some of my friends call it the grandpa mobile while others call it the cop car, me I just call it the Merc.

Not bad man. I've owned 3 Panthers, 92 Crown vic Touring Sedan, 95 Crown Vic P71 (Ex-Montana Highway Patrol) and a 98 Crown Vic P71 (Ex Ohio Police Car) The 92 and 95 were great cars, the 98 was abused when i got it but still held together. They are no longer selling the Crown Victoria to the public, it is strictly for Fleets now, and will be going bye bye in 2009.

Go to www.crownvic.net good group of guys over there though they tend to cuss a bit too much and think that the Crown Vic is the best vehicle in the world, (stupid kids, don't they know that GM Trucks are the best?)

Cheers

My first car was an '81 Crown Victoria. We did a lot of work on it (duals, hotter cam, Edelbrock Intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and some other stuff to help 'er breath better and not be so choked-down). I drove that car for miles and miles and miles... If the transmission hadn't started going south in '94 (or if I had had a better job and could've afforded to fix 'er), I wouldn't have traded her in when I did. The transmission was going to cost more to fix or replace than the whole car was worth. I hated seeing that one go.............

I learned how to drive in that car... Used to have a ton of fun w/ her. Actually, Vicky is probably one of the main reasons I opted for the RWD Denali over the AWD Denali. hehe
