Anyone have a tune on there 8.1? Does anyone have dyno numbers or anything? Maybe just some experience with it....

There is some 8.1 activity but you'll have to do some searches on several web sites to put it all together. On this site, www.performancetrucks.net, and www.dieselplace.com search for posts under the user names TieRod and Haulin' 8.1. We're usually putting our $0.02 in every 8.1 performance post.

 

On this site you should also search under user name Grandolphics. I think that's how it's spelled but if not searching the member list will find that one.

 

On perfomancetrucks you should also search under 8100Hammer.

 

On Dieselplace you should scan the GM Gassers forum, that's where there's more performance discussion of the 8.1.

 

I've only had the truck dyno'ed once, I discussed it on here. It did alright but I later found my MAF was contaminated and it ran much better after cleaning it.

I have had westers tunes and Corvettes of Westchester. I have one oiece of advise other than searching on hre and reading about them........
