Thanks man, I have the horns mounted up under the left bed pannel infront of the left rear wheel well. Since I have the long bed, there's plenty of room to tuck them up out of the way. I just have three 1/4 inch holes drilled up through the bed for the mounting bracket. The tank/compressor are mounted in the bed right overtop of the horns so the assembly covers the bolts nicely.

I'll have to take a video of the horn sometime soon, the thing it RIDICULOUS!!!!! It is a legitimate 152db Train Horn haha really gets people out of my way if they cut me off

What's the make and model of the train horn, how much was it, and can I order it online?

Go on Ebay Motors and just type in Train Horn.... I can PM you the exact seller/horn that I bought, but for some freaking reason it wont let me post an ebay link, it ends up not working.

I paid a total of $245 shipped to me. Consists of 3 horns, 16" 14" and 12", all mounted on a bracket with an electronic valve built in, 3L tank with a built in compressor, all the bolts, and the air tube. Plus it comes with its own fuse so you dont mess anything up.

I wired it all up myself, fairly simple proceedure, as long as you know a little about wiring. I wired the compressor straight to the ignition so it has constant power while my key is forward. The compressor has a sensor built in so when it gets low past a certain point, it automatically refills itself. Then you mount your horns, and run the air tube between (tube is supplied) then the horns have a valve with a power and ground wire... run the horn power wire to a switch, then to a power source (i used the ignition for this too). I went to pepboys and bought a spring loaded "momentary switch" for the horn

Simple, any questions feel free to ask away.... or if u live close, he!! I'll do it for ya

It'll definately wake up your average sleepy-driver. :idiot:

Your custom switchboard, is the horn switch on there or ist it somewhere else?

it's a black spring loaded switch in the middle... difficult to see cuz the abs board that i made the switch plate out of is black

still cant see it, but heres a profile pic

Just got my Viper Remote Start/Alarm system installed yesterday too. I love this thing, it is definitely clutch in the cold weather. Make sure you leave the heat on, fire it up 5-10 min before you're ready to leave and it's nice and toasty :loser:

Next week I am getting my QTP Electronic Exhaust Cutout system installed too.

Gotta keep the toys comin :banghead:

Just added my Exhaust Cutout today

Havent hooked up the electronic plate yet, but listen to this puppy growl

Maybe a little too obnoxious for some, but i love it. It was a quick crappy vid before I capped it off so i dont wake up the neighbors in the AM. I'll take a couple better ones soon

There are some videos on youtube or liveleak with some guys in a car with one of those train horns. They are so funny!:crackup:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkJwcR21VLk

I gotta get me one of those!!! :noway::noway:

Yeah ive seen those before... but as funny as it is, I'm just not that mean. Especially anywhere close to where I live. My truck sticks out a bit, kinda distinctive. So I dont wanna scare the hell out of someone when chances are they may know where I park my truck at night

HOWEVER...... I was driving through Downtown Baltimore.... and I must say, blowing that horn next to the "hard ass" dudes standin on the corner with their gangsta attire and tough guy walk... and hearing them scream in a higher pitch than my sister....

Makes Life Ohh Soo Worth it

That and it really comes in handy when some dumb woman (no offense) on her cell phone is driving 5 under in the fast lane. The sound of a locomotive really gets the point across very well
