My Truck Lifted With Ford Keys.

Just wanted to post a picture of my truck with the Ford keyways I just installed today. The new keyways kinda make my 285's look small. I guess I'm going to need some 305's now.

The 285s look perfect. Not stuffed at all.

If you went to a 305 you'd have to go to an 8" wide wheel. The largest you can safely run on a stock (7" wide) wheel is a 295.

dang that does look good! I have 265's on mine with my torsion keys turned up and that leaves alot of space but I would be happy with 285;s

DO these ford keys do the same thing as torision cranking? \ / your tires or do they even it out? Im not sure how this works and i am interested.

The Ford keys (or any other aftermarket key) are just like cranking your stock keys, but they are re-indexed, so they let you crank even further (not a good thing). The most you should crank the t-bars is 1.5" max, otherwise you're going to run into wear problems (CV's, tie rod ends, ball joints etc...) not to mention the ride will really start to suffer.

You should be able to crank more than far enough with your stock keys, so IMO any aftermarket keys are a waste of money.

IMO. I just cranked my stock keys on my 99 rcsb, not even close to all the way, and the ride was HORRIBLE! Now on my 00 ecsb I did the ford tb keys with a slight crank and got the truck level with no notice in the ride quality.

How long did it take you to put them in I might give this a try if i can find a cheap set of keys
