i do not know the specs of the cars.  i know the mustang is a 2003 cobra (390 HP), but i have no idea what the vette has.  

 

i know the video may be hard to see, but the mustang is the car on the right.

and in a different video from earlier that night or maybe it was later, the silly mustang got beaten down by a TA

so i think it a lack of drivers skill in the vette.

the trans am had NOS...that would bring it to at least 400HP, probably more

Let's see...

400hp (actually most dynos are indicating 410 to 425 at the crank) vs a 345-350hp vette and wins by a little in like 1/16th of a mile.  I'm shocked  ;)

Then races somebody with equal hp and looses.

Have him race a Z06.  (You'll have to film from in front or from behind in order to have both cars in the shot).

 

Still....  looks like fun.  You could really hear the supercharger.
