Auto Spring 2.5" Level Kit

Recommended Posts

Anyone else notice that on almost all pics of trucks that had the auto spring 2.5" level kit installed the front is higher than the rear? I haven't measured mine yet but it's obviously higher than the front to a slight degree on my truck (installed my kit last night). Will the springs settle/compress back down and eventually level back out? I don't so much notice it when looking at it in person but when I look at pictures I just took of my truck it's quite obvious.

I've noticed the same thing with pictures of 2.5" leveled trucks and that's why I'm torn between getting a 2.5" or a 2" leveling kit. I pull a boat quite a bit and don't want it running down the road nose up with the boat hooked up to it. I'm also gonna add more weight to the bed later down the line in the forms of a tool box and spray in liner which will bring the rear down a little more. don't mean to hijack your post, but if anyone has any input on my situation I'd love to hear it as well. here is a pic with the boat hooked up on level ground for reference.

I just called auto spring and they said the front shouldn't be noticeably higher than the rear. The guy I spoke to said that getting an alignment done afterwards (and correcting the toe-in sp?) will drop the front back down a bit. I plan to get an alignment done tomorrow.

I think the 2.5" is just a little too much on these trucks. The front end on the trucks I've seen just seems to sit a tiny bit higher than the rear, and it's noticable to me. I'll be going with a 2" kit until I get my 6" Fabtech lift next spring.

Does anyone know of a rear block about 1" available anywhere? I think the 2.5 with the 1" block would leave just alittle cant. With a lighter load the truck should be level. On my previous titan I did this and it looked great. On my new chevy, it needs to come up. I think the 2.5 with a 1" block would give most of us the look we're after.

I went with the 2 inch revtek. I prefer the front slightly higher, though the revtek does not do that. It looks like you are haulingass everywhere you go when the front is higher. I have put on 2 revteks and a tuff country. a friend of mine wants me to get him a leveling kit for his NBS chevy. What is this auto spring kit and how long does it take to put on. The tuff country you had to cut the top of the strut and the revteks were spacers in the strut and on top of the strut respectively. I like the ride of the tuff country but the revtek came with drop spacers for the front diff to keep the CV's in spec.
