Need Some Help With Trailer Wiring Harness

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have the round 7-pin connector on my truck.

I'm trying to get 12v to my trailer. On the connector(truck side) there is a pin labeled '+' or accessories but I'm not getting any voltage from that pin with the ignition off, on acces, running, or running with lights on.

Is this 12v pin functional? or is there a fuse I can check...?

There is a fuse that needs to be put in the fuse box under the hood.

I don't recall which fuse it is....it may be listed on the back of the fuse box lid.

If you have the trailer brake wire hardness that normally is placed in the glove-box, it will have the fuse tapes to it and the location that it goes.

Hi.

Went out to the truck and took a picture of the fusebox that's underneath the hood (beside the battery).

The 40amp fuse goes in stud #1, as in this picture:
