Stuck

So a couple of weeks ago me and my friend decided to go offroading before band practice. This was on a sunday, the first day of a 3 day noreaster (yeah, I know, I'm a dumba$$) that we had here on the east coast. It wasn't too muddy at first, but I have some worn Bridgestone Dueller A/Ts, and ended up getting stuck in some ruts in a field. My friend barely got through with his Jeep, and I just got stuck in his ruts (dumba$$ again). Well, I rocked it back and forth for a while, managed to get out of the first set of holes I had dug, but then when I was backing out I just got the front end stuck in the holes again. Tried rocking it a little more, tried some digging, but it was raining to hard and too fast and everything was turning into a swamp. Tried calling a few people, no one was able to come out to pull me out. Then after about an hour of waiting for some kid to call me back, I see a guy in a back-hoe coming out to rescue me. It's all over right? No. As soon as he started getting close to me, he was just sinking in the swampy muck, and had to give up and push himself out backwards with his bucket. The guy owned a warehouse next to the field, and said no one would bother me if I left the truck there, and I was wet and cold. I ended up having to wait another 2 days before I could find anyone willing to go out there, and eventually got myself pulled out. Here are just a few pictures (sorry for the bad quality, all cell phone pictures), and if you've bothered to read this far, thanks.

Doesn't look to bad from this side

I know I'm a dumba$$, and should have done things differently, and it's not like I just left the truck in the field and forgot about it. I checked on it at least twice a day, and I couldn't sleep for the 2 nights that it was out there.

I know I would feel the same way if I had to leave my truck stuck for a couple of nights, luckily I have never had to do that. I do know that it is a really bad feeling when it looks like you are not going to get your truck out though, I have been close to that a few times. I guess you can look at it as a learning experience, I have had a few of those that is half the reason I do some of the things I do. The key is to have fun I guess.

Ya haven't really gone off-road until ya get it stuck. ;)

As much as a pain as it must have been, chaulk it up as a learning exercise.
