Pics Of My 07 Classic

Mighty HD

Recommended Posts

Traded in my beloved Carbon Metallic 04 Hd 4x4 ECSB with 20k for an new 07 Classic White ECSB 4x4 6.0.

I'm so glad I made the change. White is so so so easy to keep clean. I"ll never own any other color than white.

I was extremely bad OCD of keeping the 04 clean. This new truck has been a blessing. It is also built much, much more superior to the 04.

No squeaks, rattles, bangs, pops, or loud on the highway. I am very impressed. They also fixed the exhaust routing so you can drain the oil without it hitting the exhaust and making a hell of a mess. One other thing: There is NO drain plug on the tranny pan! I will swap out the tranny pan later for one that has a plug.

They GAVE this truck away. Literally.

I got it at invoice at $30k

-2000 rebate

-1000 coupon that I had

-1000 GM card points

-500 for another coupon that I had

$25,500. $1000? tax.

Payment went down $50, interest rate went from 2% to 6.4%.

I'm paying it down hard now on the principal, then will move it to a 0% interest credit card when I get it around 15k and pay it off in about a year.

This is about a week before I bought it.

This was 4 days after I bought it. I was very busy. I also managed to get it clayed, polished, glazed and 4 coats of Menzerna FMJ on it.

The center console was taken out of the 04.

I loved the Carbon Metallic. I got complements everywhere I went. What a *Nightmare* to keep the swirl marks and micromarring out of it. :D

I got in an accident (two cars ahead of me were involved in a road-rage deal....and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time basically) It was fixed, looked perfect, but the paint. If anyone knows body work----aftermarket paint is much "softer" than OEM. With it being a dark color and for as bad of OCD as I have with "perfection" I couldn't stand to have the paint swirl up on the front end and the rest of the vehicle look flawless.

I had the truck back 30 minutes and traded it in...enough to drive across town.

One more for ol' time sakes.
