DUAL BATTERIES

was curious if anyone has installed dual batteries yourself,did you just buy everything minus the battery from gm was it reasonably priced ?? if so what did you have to get and how much ?? also if you went with aftermarket,what did you use and how much did it cost ?? im just getting ready for next winter and plowing and would like to add the second battery to my 01 2500 hd c.c...

425 - I just had a dual battery install completed on my truck for a camper. My battery cost $70.00. The OEM Tray and battery hold down were pricey (I know I paid too much for those two parts). Below is a link with excellent details on the install, including pics. Unfortunately I didn't get this information until after I had already purchased the parts. This guy helped me out alot with this project. My set up is exactly the same as his except for the type of battery. Hope this help you out!
