Spray-in Bedliners

Recommended Posts

I'm going to look at some of the spray-on bedliners this weekend. Three of the bigger companies -- Rhino, Line-X and SpeedLiner -- are within an hour of where I live, so I'm going to checkout all three. From what I've read it seems like SpeedLiner and Line-X are the best, a very close 1-2, with Rhino bringing up the rear. What are your experiences with bedliners? Who is the best?

Welcome to the forum.

After 2 months of research I went with Line-X.  There are several debate threads on this forum.  Use the search function to find more.

Here's one

Thanks for the welcome, and the link. I've seen this discussion on other forums; there is no general consensus on who's the best liner, but there is complete agreement on making certain the person with the spray gun knows what he's doing. Hopefully I'll be meeting the guy who'll be doing the application when I go to these shops this weekend.

Rhino lining brings up the rear? How do you figure?

Here's my Rhino liner with 5,000lbs of gravel in it.  How much more testing do I need to do to prove Rhino is pretty good.

Here is what the liner looked like afterwords;

What it boils down to is how well it's sprayed on.

I thought that sig looked familiar. I should have know you'd chime in!   :D

What I've been hearing is that the Rhino is a bit softer, and thus more prone to rips and tears. And it seems to fade faster (unless you keep getting the UV sealant, or whatever it is that they do to it). Personally, I'd rather have it sprayed and then forget it's there -- I don't want to do any kind of maintenance.

Uh oh, do I know you?  :D

I can't say I've heard anything like that.  Mine is "whiter" but that is from all the gravel I had in there even though I've washed it a couple of times.

A few friends have the Rhino liners in their trucks and they've had theirs longer than I've had my truck period and they look like brand new.  Of course, they never haul anything in them, but that's a different story.  :D

Know me? Sort of -- we've been exchanging emails about tire sizes for the past week or two.  :D

Seems one of the complaints I've been hearing about the Rhino is that the color has a tendency to fade faster then the others do.

DOH!!!!  I guess I should've put 1+1 together.

You'll be fine with any of them really, it just boils down to how well they get sprayed on.

I bet they all fade a little though especially if used heavily.
