dmax is AWESOME!!!!

hey guys im tickled pink!!!! the dmax trip this weekend went awesome!!! i went across the scales at nearly 30k hahah!!! i got loaded up and headed south with bull stock and let me tell you this baby will get down the road.. im just tickled to death on the towing of this truck.. i was a little over weighted!! but remember i did say a little thats my story and im sticking to it.. the truck is bad A@@ i want more power! aint like you need it but i think it would help with the tranny busy work at 75 -80 mph range.. hahah!!!

Remember they have some updates that help with the 5-4 downshifting while in cruise,just tell your dealer and it only takes about 30 min. max to install.But your right another 250 ft/lbs would be nice

yea guys its pretty awesome.. im very please.. i think i might look into a chip or something that allison was shifting a bit from 5th to 4th but other than that im happy.. heck i got 21 mpg coming home this morning driving 70 mph.. 420 miles non stop.. im happy very happy!!!

so there is a fix for the busy work on the tranny? thats great all i need to tell awesome.. im going to look into a chip next and then maybe exhaust.. but i want one with mufflers.. my d/c is bombed out and it sounds cool but way to loud.. how do these trucks sound.. the d/c sound like big rigs are there and wav files out on a dmax with exhaust work??

Yea go to flowmasters website and they have one there of a dmax with a flowmaster and it sounds sweet.

You can listen to another Dmax with a full 4" exhaust system at this link. Don't sound too bad from what I can tell, but not near as good as a Cummins with some aftermarket exhaust. I love the way those trucks sound.

Tell me tho, what kind of mpg numbers did you make pullin that almost 30K ?

You mentioned you were making 21mpg coming home. Empty I presume ?

Empty, what's yer truck go across the scale at ?

I'm hot for a 2500HD Sierra, altho, the hood on the silverado looks sweet.

hey how you doin? well i was getting according to me and my friends calcs.. around 9-10 thats all flat west texas aint to bad we both run p-strokes and ctd until i jumped off and got the gmc.. he rode with me all the way up there and back to his truck in sweetwater,tx anyway we used the cat scales in lubbock it was 29680# total.. let me tell you both of us were laughing and realy surprised.. you know you hear so much abou these trucks pullin power but until you do it your self then we were Schips and Grins all the way!!! hahaha.. he ordered a new dodge 2003 Im going to wait on his to come and see if they have fixed the lift pump problems.. anyway good luck on you purchase if you go Dmax you wont be hurting for pullin power its a tug boat!!
