Hey Guys and Gals. I used to have a 2001 Yukon XL before i got the Silverado. I was able to remove the cupholder section (black) from the console and give it a cleaning. My cupholder from the silverado seems glued in or something and i dont dare tug to hard. Does anybody know how i can remove it?

As long as you are talking about the front cupholder, mine pops out fairly easily.

 

My question is how do you remove the black insert inside the locking console?  There are about 7 screws around the top but it still won't come out...???

I can get the cupholders out of my console on my '01, but it takes a little convincing to make them come loose.  I think it's just a tight fit...

shaner, i coaxed mine to come eventually. just didnt want to rip it and break something.
