What was your measurements before

Recommended Posts

At the center of my front fender(directly above the center of the wheel) my HD sits at 37.5".   I took a level to the axle halfs(cv axles) and the level showed that they were almost level.  They were actually up alittle and I don't mean to get more ground clearence.

What were the measurements at the center of your fender when you turned up the torsion bars?  I plan to raise mine 2".

I put a jack under the front end and raised it 2" and the axles didn't look like they were at too much of a angle.  So I think 2" will be fine.

What do you guys think?

I think 2" is alot of cranking on the T-bars.  Your ride will suffer some and you'll put alot of stress on the front suspension.

I think my truck is sitting at about 38"-38.25" now.  I'll check later on today...

37.5 on the drivers side, 38 on the passenger side.  I then cranked them up to 40 on both sides with the factory Firestone's on.  I then put the 285 BFG's on and it now was 41.5 on the driver's side, and 42 on the passenger.  So I turned them back down to 40.
