Well, here it is.... Here is my sweet truck.... :D

2000 Chevy Silverado 1500LS, 4.8L V8, shortbed, reg cab, 5 speed stick.

112,000 miles and still going strong! I routinely get it serviced, check ups, regular oil changes, etc... and keep it in mint condition. In fact, when I rolled it over to 100,000 I brought it back to the dealer and told them, "Okay guys, it hit 100k, let's do it. Let's do whatever service plan you got to keep it going for another 100,000!". The service dept looked at me like "cha-ching!! $$$$" but they did everything imaginable to my truck. It ended up costing me $611 bucks, but in my mind, it was well worth it to keep this truck going and going and going and going.....

I am very partial to regular cab trucks. I think they look so beautiful.

Very nice truck I must say!

Thanks... It's a keeper! :nopity:

It's my daily driver and my deer hunting truck (except I don't take it up the mountain trails). The other guys take their beaters up the mountain - I just snag a ride with one of them. We use my truck for errands and as a "grocery getter" at the deer camp.

The mirrors were an optional item, I assume. The truck was originally owned by a construction superintendent for the state of Virginia. The guy just drove the 1500LS all over VA checking on construction sites.

I bought it used in 2003 when the guy traded it in and got a bigger Silverado.

Midlothian/Courthouse?!?! Whoa, small world.... I work right off Southlake Blvd! :troll:

You fellow Richmonders will see my truck going down Chippenham, over the Willey Bridge, onto Huguenot, and on down to Midlothian/Courthouse and onto Southlake Blvd to my office day in and day out.

If you see me - honk!!!! :chevrolet:

Wow...Nice truck....I wish I had a 5 speed!.....

10-4, dont see too many half ton Chevys with manuals. Infact the only Manual Silverado I've seen was my old buddies 82 Silverado (Scottsdale maybe, too new I think :banghead: ) halfton 4x4. That thing was a tank, it refused to get stuck! Gutless 305 V8 but tank none the less. Well, until he raced a quad in a sweet corn field after harvest (I know were rednecks) in 4HI and blew the T-case....

Nice truck!

Heheheheee... Sounds cool, eyeball03! I'll look for ya too! :banghead:

To the other poster regarding the manual tranny: Yeah, that's what makes my truck unique. It has the 4.8L V8 and the 5 speed tranny. Back in 2000, only the 4.3L V6 had the manual tranny. Apparantly, the original owner opted for more power, so he had it built with the 4.8L and ordered the upgraded LS version, so it has power doors, power windows, etc.... The only thing it doesn't have is a CD player. :shakehead: But at least it has an AM/FM/Cassette.
