Found this pic going through some old albums. This was my dads 1979 Chevy Reg Cab Short Bed Sportside 2wd truck. You can see me (Small guy) in the middle. Pic was taken in 1980

Ain't it fun looking through old pics, then finding one and saying "Hey, I remeber that! Boy that was a great time."

 

I remember one of the first times I started my dads '72 Blazer up (I was probably 11 or 12), just getting ready to head to church.

It was a standard, and I forgot to push the clutch in. Ended up backing into his dumptruck

Scared the bejeeses outta my mom & sisters !! Dad just laughed and reminded me to use the clutch.

My dad had a 5.7l 1980 C2500 RC LB. He put over 200k on it and sold it, and still regrets it.

A few yrs back we talked to the guy he sold it to. His son bought it off him and had like 375K miles on it. Rusty as all heck but the engine was bullet proof. The trans was rebuilt once. The biggest memory was the chains on the tailgate. That was cool

My dad's 80 2500 had the normal tailgate cords. We used to see it every once and a while around town. When he first bought it, it was a bronze color. After a few years it was more of a brown, but it still looked very sharp.
