Rear height measurement

Recommended Posts

Have any of you guys notice that the rear is now lower than before? We think GM has changed the spring perch to lower the rear just a bit, which causes our suspension kit to appear low in the rear when the front is at 4". Can anyone confirm the change in rear height? Or a spring perch dimension.

When I was adjusting my torsion bars, I noticed my driver's side was a little lower than the passenger side.  Just as I could adjust the front, as I did that it slightly changed the backs too.

I haven't had a chance to actually get under the rear end and give it a thorough inspection though.

By your name I take it you are a tech from Rancho?  What is your name and what department do you work in?

I work in the engineering dept at Rancho. We are trying to confirm some issues that the tech line is having. Chevy is constantly changing items that we need to be aware of.

Moderators: What happened to my other post on suspension systems? I just wanted to let you guys know about our new suspension systems, thats all.
