need help choosing lift and tires

well how many inches are you thinking about going, and are you thinking of a suspension or body and what size tires are you wanting to run??? and what kind of truck do you have?

i havent bought the truck or tahoe yet but i have my eye on a 97 4dr. yukon 4x4. I dont want to lift it too much because i dont have the money and i dont want it to ride real rough. maybe like 2 or 3 inches or so. well it sonds like a suspension lift is the better wat to go?. i dont want real huge tires or anything. I just want to make it look more like a 4x4 than a soccer mom suv. what are good (reasonably priced) brands to look at and what are some good sites to shop?

i would look around for a 4wheelparts in your area, they do great work. I can vouch for them, they put on my 6'' fabtech suspension lift and new wheels and tires and my truck honestly rides better than before, i have adjustable shocks so they arent to stiff or to loose either. i would save the money and get it done right and go with like a 4'' or 3'' suspension lift. I know that body lifts are kinda shotty and look that way too and the ride isnt the same anymore. and my total for my entire lift, with wheels tires and labor, was 4600 out the door, soo yeah i worked all summer and saved my money, and it was WELL worth it
