Shaners
Just to keep you up to date on my fuel milage, my last tank was 12.25 mpg's. I've been consistantly getting between low 12's and high 13's. Not too bad for the kind of driving I do. (couple miles here or there with a long trip of 9-10 miles once in awhile). I have about 925 miles on the truck, and when I did the math with the hour meter, I've been averaging 26.7 miles per hour. So it is pretty obvious that I don't get the truck out of town much with the exception of the first week I had it I put between 350 - 400 miles on it. Stepside Z
I know what you are saying about the milage. I have had my new truck for 4 months now and just rolled over 2,000 miles. I am going to run it to Maine on the 18th of this month so I should get better milage figures. I am currently holding at 17.4 and that is low for my truck. DigUout
Shaners, I'm sure you'll see better mileage towards the end of the second thousand on the odometer. Just wondering, is your new truck auto or manual, long or short bed and if you've done any towing yet? Curious how the 6.0 is towing on the new HD2500's-
Shaners
Hey Dig, The truck is a shortbed. And has the 4L80E Auto tranny. I have a '32 8000lb traval trailer that I'm going to tow in a few weeks and I'll let you know how it goes... Shane

That might also be enough to help break the motor in and possible help your gas mileage. I'm interested to see how you like the trailer tow mirrors, because alot of people say they don't work that great with a trailer in tow. I don't see how they could be anyworse then the standerd power, heated mirrors.
Shaners
As far as the trailer tow mirrors, they have to be better than the "clip-on" kind... I hated those ones so much that I didn't use them half the time!!!!
pennscapes
hello, I have a 2500HD reg cab long bed with the 6.0 and just over 18,000 miles on since last october. Fuel mileage pretty stable at about 11-13 mpg. I never really figure it that much, but it stays about that. As for trailering, well...............it goes down pretty quick. I pull a 10K dump trailer and a heavy 7x14 enlosed and figure I've hit as low as 8-9 mpg on certain days. pennscapes
