Well they were sounding bad so I bought some pioneer 4 way speakers for the front. Have one repalced so far. I am also replacing the door handles while I am at it. What a PITA that is. Took me 3 times as long to do the handles than the speaker

Yea its a stock head unit. As for how do they sound I only have the pass side hooked up it does sound better than it did I can say that

The handles are a PITA. I need tiny arms and hands to fit in there and get everything together. Actually it wasnt to bad the worst was the clip to hold the lock cylinder in that took over an hr to finally get on

I ended up replacing all 4 stock speakers in my truck as well. The rear doors were a little harder than the fronts. Anyway, i replaced the speakers first and did the deck a day later. While the speakers were an improvement over the factorys, the biggest improvement was definitely the aftermarket deck. I noticed more clarity, increased bass, and less distortion by replacing the deck than replacing all the speakers. Of course i then proceeded to add 2 10" subs and a 500watt amp. Added sirius about 6 months ago. All set now

Yeah, those door handles are a major PITA! I have a nice pic in my webshots folders of my hand all cut up from fishing out the door handle connections. One thing I didn't have to worry about is changing the key cylinder mechanisms. Save yourself the time and just get Escalade passenger door handles! Speakers llok good man. :D
