I have some pictures of upgrades and a log of performance to date. I do all my own servicing and can offer help to someone. Not sure I can answer all questions but I can sure try.

 

To date. had one minor problem with a leaky injector pump at around 5K miles. Nothing radical. An occasional drip. Dealer fixed in 1 day. Other than Perfect. Truck tows like a dream. Runs hard, is incredibly quiet and Plush inside and gets very good gas mileage( have been over 20mpg empty with cruise on doing 60). I still think technology is amazing. a 7500lb truck averaging 15-16mpg daily driving with the potential of 20+ on a trip....

I have no planned modifications to enhance power. The truck really does a great job in factory trim and as you know once you modify, life expectancy is cut dramatically and I plan on having this truck for quite a few years.

 

I have a road trip this weekend to Las Vegas then to Phoenix. I am towing a 10.5Klb enclosed trailer. I will post some mileage results. Trip will be about 2Kmiles round trip.

If you ever decide to take that black trim off the tail lights, give me a holler.    I tried to see if I could get it from the dealer, but they said you have to order the entire tail light assembly.

Man you folks are a nice bunch. Like I said. If any of you truck people have questions about the Duramax-Allison combo or the K3500 in general, please let me know. I will do my best to answer questions. At worst case I can steer you in the direction to get them answered.

Yes I frequent the Diesel Page.  You have a very nice looking truck. I really like the HD's lifted. I considered a  2500HD CC LB Dmax/Allison set up but I have had dually's for so long now I just like having the Big Kahuna. And I know, if I had gotten a 2500HD, I would have lifted it a bit and that would have ended my camper plans.

 

Besides the new Dually sits pretty high anyway compared to the older ones.
