Someone gave me a link here, and so glad he did. Great place!

I have been reading stuff for about 24 hours or more now, seeing what's what...lots of good information here and knowledgable people.

I only buy GM trucks, GMC preferred. I just tend to like the stying of them more. This is my 5th straight GM truck and my favorite by far. Even though it is the fastest and most powerful truck I have ever had, I have been looking for info on what to do to get some more spunk out of it. Looks like I found the place for that kind of info.

I'm planning on purchasing an Outlaw CIA in the next week or so as well as possibly get a Wait4me tuned PCM toward the end of the month. (All decisions I have made from reading here in the last day or so) Still reading more about that last tuning mod....so I understand what exactly is involved.

Then sometime in the future will likely be a moderate lift, probably 6" w/35's on 20" rims. Some bigger fender flares since the body is getting knicked up bad from stones thrown off the tires, and a better stereo system for sure.

Here is what I picked up 6 months ago....

2001 GMC 2500HD Crewcab LongBed w/6.0 liter with 60k miles and auto trans. 4x4, A/C, most power options, factory CD player, only thing it doesn't really have is power mirrors. Rides great, lots of power. Low milage. Picked it up for 17k. Seemed like the same truck was going for 20-22 or more at any dealership, I found this threw private sale, it was in central Jersey.

A list of past owned trucks from newest to oldest:

2001 GMC 2500HD CrewCab Longbed (4x4)

1995 GMC 1500 Ext. Cab Stepside (4x4)

1991 GMC S-15 Jimmy (4x4)

1987 Chevy Blazer (4x4)

1977 GMC Jimmy (4x4)

1982 Chevy S-10 (2wd)

Keep up the great work here, I will gladly try and contribute where I can.

Not the best picture but here is my pride and joy...

More pictures of my truck....

well one thing i can assure you you'll need is a new set of gears if you get those bigger tires

cold air intake can do some impressive stuff....i haev a short ram intake and it really picks up

full exhaust with bigger piping from the headers is prob the best HP/$ ratio you can get
