what is the actual cubic inches of the 8.1

Recommended Posts

BIG BLUE is correct.  According to GM's published numbers the 8100 has a bore of 107.95mm and a stroke of 111.00mm.  If you do the conversion and hold alot of digits (I'm an engineer -- what do you want?!) the actual number comes out to 495.96 cubic inches.  GM advertises it as 496 cu. in./8127 cc.
