New 54" Swamper Bogger

Recommended Posts

Yeah, a person would have to be running 2 1/2 ton Rockwells under thier truck to even think about a tire this big.

For reference, the tires in the background are (far left) a 44" bogger and a 47" IROK

The rep said that the 54" Bogger weighs around 200Lbs each and cost around $650 each.

I quit putting anything larger than 35's on any of my trucks years ago. 35's are plenty big enough to tear things up.

Right now I have a F150 with 33" tires

A Ranger with 32" tires

and the Sierra with 32"

Big tires break things.

Although I agree 35's are pretty good, to go through some of the s**t we encounter on a daily basis, your going to need at a minimum of 38in. And even then, the people running those get stuck...

I need to try and get some pictures of the tires I deal with everyday. I work at a Michelin tire distribution warehouse. We have some tires that are 5,000 lbs and go onto earthmover equipment and mining equipment.

So 54" tires are small in my eyes. lol

I had a 87 chevy 4x4 with 42" swampers and had to do a mash the brake peddle stop once, well driving back home I was smelling a burning smell, pulled up in the driveway and smoke was rolling out of my rear drums, after a cool down period I removed the rear drums and all the parts inside came out as well, totally destroyed the spring clips, all the hardware and snapped the Rear Wheel Cylinders on both sides so you talk about some leverage doing a hard breaking, those tires will do it.
