White Front on a 03

Finally got the Valence painted, (thats a rant thread) to go with the 06 white bumper cap...I'll leave the exterior as is for now, and start changing the interior next...Then More POWER! Whata think, Opinions are appreciated!

I too have a white 03 and have been thinking about doing the same thing. How much BS was it to get the valance painted? I'm going to get a smooth 06 cap, and would like to get them both done the same time. Did you also change the amber parking light bulbs to chrome ones? Yours trucks front end looks GREAT!

Looks good. I was looking on my 03 silverado and would like to do the same. How did you go about painting the piece? Do it yourself or have it professionally done? Is it possible to paint it yourself?

Looks good and clean. Is there a black plastic piece in between the grill and bumper, or is that a gap? If it is a plastic piece, I wonder how it would look if it was painted white.

Love the front end, it is a stark contrast to the stock look that I've got. I've never been too fond of the existing plastic and I'm curious how much time/effort/cost is required.

I guess you could paint the Valence yourself, if you know what your doing! I paid 110 to have it done. He smoothed it, applied somekind for flexable plastic primer, and the white then cleared it. I came out really nice!

It was a disappointing experence trying to find someone to paint the valence! I first went to the dealer, where I bought the truck, they send out a Large Breasted 18 y/o that didn't know, paint from, shoe polish, with a clip board to tell me that "it can't be done" "It'll just chip and flake off"! So I left and next went to a well know private Body Shop, and not only would they not do it, I couldn't get an estimate..The recepionest lady, rudely told me when I asked for one, that "their busy doing real estimates" "SIGN IN", they'll be with YOU, in 15-20 mins, MAYBE, no eye contact...so instead of being arrested for giving the AH, an enemia with my size 14 foot, I left!....the 3rd, when asked said "Not by ME"...Finally found the guy I did ,through a friend of my sons friends, Dad!....I can be done!!

Actually, I' haven't updated my location (Shame on me!!!) I recently moved to Blackstone, VA (30 miles west of petersburg) so we're a couple more zip codes away, but I still work (and play) in Richmond.

I grew up on the North side of the River, in Mechanicsville.
