Okay, I finished up the 3" body lift on the truck today. At the end I realized the instructions never mentioned how to put the front tow hooks back on. From what I can tell they won't fit, so what did you all do with yours to make them work?

Have a nice day.

You can butcher up the valance a little more, or a little less by using HD tow hooks. Or leave them off like I did. I am thinking of buing a pair of aftermarket and bolting them in a similar location...

I have some pictures of the HD tow hooks from another member, just gotta find them.

I have a 2001 Tahoe with a body lift. I was able to put the tow hooks back on by swapping them left for right and turning them upside down. They look a little funny but are still functional.

Just an idea.

I agree w/woyster_00z71

There is no need to cut, or dremel anything, simply follow the directions below. :)

I've done this on numerous chevy's when installing a 3" bodylift without a problem and without cutting any plastic or metal.

You can swap sides if it's an old body style but the the new body style does not work that way.

At least not securely. If I recall correctly, you will be able to move them because the vertically installed bolt will not line up.

With a 3' body lift on a 1500, is there any slop in the steering wheel with the new steering extension? Just wondering. I put one on a F150 once and the steering was really sloppy.
