Anybody out there swap out their 3.73 gears for 4.56?

I am running 33" tires (285/75/16) and would like to be able to tow better. Tow capacity with 245/75/16 (stock) tires 3.73 and was 7900 max trlr wt, w/ 4.10s 9900 lbs max trlr wt.

I would like to get closer to the 4.10 capacity, and the calculaters indicate I would need 4.56 gears to get close.

Has anyone made the switch, and if so have they towed over 9k?

IMO I would go with the 4.10's. I swithced to 4.56's to pull my 39's and i still was able to tow a flatbed trailer with another z71 on it... it seems like you would be alright with the 4.10s for towing and your gas mileage.

a 4:10 only gets me back close to stock (w/285/75/16 tires = 3:81 effective)

I would like to keep my 285s, but boost to close to an effective 4:10 ratio for increasing towing capacity.

Anybody? Bueler?
