Cant find shocks...

Recommended Posts

Okay guys, I've been searching these forums and maybe Im overlooking it or maybe its not here but here goes...I cranked my T-bars on my 05 Silverado (yea I know, another T-bar question). Heres the problem, my shocks are maxxed out to the point of actually holding down my front end. Cranking this far was necessary to fit the 285/75/17's. Easy fix, buy longer shocks...problem, with the lower mount on the shocks I cant find any to match. I looked at the Ranchos designed for a 4 inch lift but they have a compressed length of about 14 inches which is 4 inches Longer than stock. With only about 2 inches of lift with the T-bars this is going to cause the shock to bottom out. My question is if anyone has found a shock that will bolt up to the stock mounts, but is long enough for the extra heigth. If so could you PLEASE let me know. Ive thought about stud extenders for the tops of the shocks but I dont know if I trust them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
