Here's my beast!

I started to restore an 84 sierra, got the body all of and trans/engine pulled, came across this here 86 a while back and picked it up for the heck of it though it needed work too.

2 days ago, I realized the price I got this for, even after doing the work I did to it, was cheaper than making the 84 like this. I gave up on the 84, junked it, and traded the motor for a boat.

Please bear in mind I am just starting to learn the deep down technical and mechanical stuff about trucks and cars. I am VERY mechanically inclined, can do most repairs on any regular stock truck or car, part removal and replacement, electrical repairs to an extent, bodywork troubleshooting etc., I just dont grasp the gearing, transmission, timing, calibration, HP, compatibility, real nitty gritty techie stuff yet. I can fix, but am learning about MODIFYING now.

Well here it is. I have been fooling with this for some time now. Still not done and have to move the mickey thompsons back into the tubs cuz the differential is stock

Needed a lot of work as I grabbed it from a guy who raced it and did some damage, pulled out the axel and differential and good trans, threw a stock one back in, and moved on. I basically repaired the body, fixed up the interior better, repaired the wites to the taillamps that were sitting on the muffler and melted into one wire, tuned it up, etc.

Mainly had gotten it cuz it was tubbed and all the mounts to put in a shorter axel are already there, plus the motor seems pretty "decent" despite stoock gears in the pumpkin.

Its a dog in 1st (what I consider a dog, not thrown back into the seat), yet when I was on the highway I floored while cruising at 60 and it started going sideways with the 22 inch wide tires! It has to have some HP to break traction at 60 with the wrong rear end for the HP I would think.

I have NO CLUE what's in this motor, other than I can hear it has cams, and a weiand intake. The rear end and trans hinder it a little, but if you can tell me anything about it I would appreciate it very much from the pictures. I need to know because I am having a 410HP motor built right now I am popping in when I change out the trans and differential. The more I know the more I get for it. I dont think a dyno test could tell me a good HP rating on the motor since the drivetrain isn't optimal for the motor right? It just gives hp at the wheels?

Anyways, heres the beast. Cant drive to a stoplight without someone asking me to roll down the window to talk.
