350 4 bolt casting numbers

Recommended Posts

Just bought a 350 four bolt and was curious to find out as much as I can about its specifics. The casting number is 3970010. All I know is it was a common small block used in the late 60s through 70s. Is there any whay to find out more specifics? When I got it back from the machine shop I found several other numbers. On the side of the block I see a small number 147 and L67 and on top of the block I see two diferent codes, V1222TKT and T8J508635. Any help would be appricated.

You have a VERY rare block, it is for a 1969 302 block for a Z-28 Camaro. (it used a 350 block with a 3 inch stroke (basically a 283 crank with 350 diameter journals). Below is a link to GM casting number if you want to look more up.
